Northfield School Go Live for BBC School Report

On Thursday 16th March sixteen students arrived at 8am to take part in the National BBC School Report ‘Go Live’ day. After months of hard work and training in researching, reporting and editing news, the team were finally ready to try meet their deadline.

Since October the team have been working on news within school, locally and nationally. This included categories such as Entertainment, Sports, Weather and our headline stories. After an intense series of three trial days and an introduction workshop the students developed new skills and found their role within the team. Alfie, our weatherman can be seen throughout our broadcasts developing his take on the weather adding his own unique humour and presentation to enhance the announcement.

The team worked collaboratively throughout the day with our Anchors, Jade and Flynn pulling the team together with an effective running order allowing our chief editors Tom, James and Thomas to produce the final broadcast which can be viewed at https://frog.northfieldssc.org/northfield-news.
