Northfield Summer Art Exhibition – 2019

Once again, we are pleased to welcome Stockton’s Mayor, students and parents for the preview of our Summer Art Exhibition on Monday 8th July, 6 -8pm.

The exhibition showcases the wide ranging talents of our art and design students, and that of Billingham South Primary school. From cardboard constructions, papier mache’ gargoyles to abstract compositions and finely detailed charcoal drawings, our students have excelled; the creations are testament to their high ability and sustained effort throughout the year.

The show also highlights examples of the revised KS3 art curriculum with themes such as Community, Exploration and Discovery; Year 8 have also created new work based on themes of Leisure and Migration. KS4 work is more varied as students gain more independence and explore a wider range of starting points including Distortion, Habitats, Messages, Texture and Space.

The show runs from Monday 1st July to the evening of Monday 8th July when it would be great to see as many parents and carers as possible join us to celebrate the achievements of our students and enjoy a viewing of the progress of our Well- Being Garden.
