Venator STEM fest 2019
On Thursday 3rd October, 13 Y10 students visited a local business Venator to take part in their STEM fest event. Venator is a leading chemical company focused on the development and manufacture of titanium dioxide pigments and performance additives.
Upon arrival students were introduced to Venator and the Science behind the company. Dr Rob Portsmouth a chemical engineer from Venator explained what products titanium dioxide pigments can be used in such as toothpaste, carpets, paint, plastics and sun cream.
Students then visited different zones in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths to take part in challenges and find out more about careers in these areas within the company.
